This is the Steam price, not the $10,000 you start a match with. That $10,000 is the character bank; it cannot be bought with real money.
A Steam pre-order was the Closed Beta slot for 21–24 August. The studio itself says: if it is not for you, refund. After the window the same key leads to Early Access on 10 September. WD Help does not sell keys, accounts or invites.
In the recap after the beta the studio named about 4% refunds. That is their figure from the video, not our Steam ledger. 4% is not a promise that the game 'lands for everyone' — only how many people, on the studio's telling, actually refunded after the window. Recap →
Before paying, it is worth knowing that the studio itself asks you not to do it blind. In the pre-order block on the store page it suggests that anyone who missed the beta first watch other people's first-impressions videos on YouTube and its own dev vlog, '10 Reasons NOT to Buy WARDOGS' — and only then decide. We are not retelling that video: it has the same purpose as this page, and the original is better.
On 3 September the studio ran The FPS Games Show and Closed Beta 02. Early Access on the storefront is $39.99. WD Help does not sell keys.
